Sprucing up the "Schoolroom"

I don't have a spare room in my house to designate as the "Schoolroom". By necessity, we'll do our school work in the dining room. As many who have visited our house know, the resident Picasso's love to draw on that wall.

After Joe's Mom left in June, we washed the wall. It looked much better.

But not good enough.

Tonight. I repainted it. Its the exact same color as before, so any screw ups will be minimally visible. It looks really, really good.

Next step. Chalkboard paint.

I bought a laser level, I'll tape off a large rectangle on the wall and fill in with Chalkboard paint. I think it will look awesome!

There aren't large chalkboards for sale? Or, you could buy a large piece of wood and paint that. That way you can take it down if you want.

I coulda swore I replied in email, but its not here...oh well. I'll try again.

Premade Chalkboard 8X4=$330

Plywood of sufficient grade to do this= $100+

Chalkboard paint and a roll of tape = less than 20 bucks.

Later, kliz primer and a couple of coats of paint will get rid of it.
